We redesigned to make this a little more cost effective by removing the expensive exo shell which saves space and we then made the internal structure stronger. We now place the battery in a custom triangle bag. This is our own bespoke battery and not a mass produced off the shelf cheapie. Everything covered with an in house UK warranty and designed to last. The results are staggering and speak for themselves. We sacrificed a little unrealistic continuous amps and changed the cells for the more expensive Samsung 50s to gain and even bigger cycle range. This battery is the perfect triangle battery solution for the ASI equipped Bafang BBSHD and all the CYC motors or motors up to 3.5kw:

We strongly recommend that when installing the case, a soft pad be placed between the down tube and case (6mm number plate stickers are good). That the bulk of the case be supported on the down tube (not supported solely from the strap holders). In extreme cold conditions we do not advise using the battery.
We use only genuine new grade A cells and made up into complete batteries specially to order for us at our dedicated factory or here in the UK by our in house battery builders. We simply can’t buy a single battery, We have to agree to a production run of at least 20 batteries. The 0.2mm pure nickle sheet is electronically welded to the cells to give and safely handle this unprecedented “in triangle” huge power output with minimum internal resistances.
Battery: Charging – Use
The battery is equipped with a very sophisticated ANT BMS.
The BMS can be turned off and on through an application for your mobile phone via Bluetooth (tip: sometimes it connects better first time if the battery is put on charge):
Connect to BMS and on the bottom of the home screen look for “control”.
On the control screen you will see the following (see fig/photo 11):
DO NOT USE “SHUT DOWN” (highlighted in red) as the battery will be totally disabled and can be restarted by plugging in you charger – using shut down can invalidate your warranty.
To turn the power off coming out of the battery (for connection and disconnection) use the DisMOS on/off by pressing the icon (highlighted in green). It may take a couple of seconds to respond. We do not recommend doing this away from a charger as sometimes it may not turn back on unless plugged into the charger. Turning off will stop the connection spark.

Charging: First time charging is VERY important. Always connect the charger to the battery with the charger powered up from the mains. This will stop a “Connection Spark”. The battery needs a “Balance Charge” on first charge. Please charge as above. The charger will display two red lights (charging) after a long period of time (between 1 and 8 hrs – depending on state) the LED charger lights will display red and green. This indicates an initial charge is complete. However, as this is a new battery, not all cells within the battery are balanced (same state of charge as some were higher/lower than others to start with). This is because cells can arrive at the factory in different batches and may have slightly different charges due to time in storage). This is very common and normal. Now please leave the charger connected to the batteries for a further 12 hrs. This allows the internal balancing system (BMS) to balance out all the internal cells. The charge may turn on and off over this period of time. This “Balance charge does not need to be done every time and is recommended every 20+ charges. Leaving the charger plugged in working does not damage the batteries. The charger is designed to stop charging at a preset level and turn on again when this level drops.
Please note, Lithium batteries are considered hazardous and due care and attention should be taken. Although these cells are in wide use, and professionally manufactured in a purpose built factory; because of the power of the battery, we strongly recommend that precautions are taken. We do not recommend charging inside the family home and charging should be supervised. We take no responsibility for misuse. These batteries are thoroughly tested (full discharge and charge cycles at the manufacturing stage and also pre-delivery). These are not DIY or amateur built devices.
* Warranty, due to the nature of use of these devices (off road) warranty is limited to 6 months from date of purchase. Any damage the result of water ingress, alteration, may void warranty. This includes shortening of cables and changing connectors. It is the owners responsibility to proof against water ingress and not use in unacceptable very wet conditions, or use direct water from hose/washers. Any alteration modification to this controller or its subsequent wiring, even cutting the power leads to make shorter will immediately invalidate any warranty. Even battery disconnected, the controller can still maintains current and can be shorted/damaged. The controllers are waterproof, but can still suffer from water damage through the connector and hence are not covered for water damage. Controllers are not covered by warranty after 14 days. Using high PAS in a high gear under heavy load may cause the controller to overheat (power level 9 in a small rear cog). Gears should be used going uphill or any other heavy load. Attempting to reprogram the controller may cause damage. Warranties are not transferable. We reserve the right to slightly modify or change this product without notice.

In the event a manufacturer’s warranty exists, it is agreed and stated that Under no circumstances shall the seller or manufacture be liable for any labour charged or travel time incurred in diagnosis for defects, removal, or reinstallation of this product, or any contingent expenses.
Lithium batteries by nature are considered hazardous items and should never be brought in to the family home or any other structure where fire may cause risk to: life, injury or possession. Batteries should always be charged and stored in a safe fireproof place. While being used, the safety to others and others property must be considered and is the direct responsibility of the purchaser. Any harm to the purchaser or other third parties or property is not the responsibility of Electron Cycles or any person trading on or behalf of the business known as Electron Cycles and hold no responsibility either implied or otherwise for mechanical, electrical or other failure when using any products or any costs or damages resulting from these items purchased or otherwise obtained from Electron Cycles or any person trading on or behalf of the business known as Electron Cycles
