The bike was bought in new for testing: see what battery could fit, try out the EBMX X900o controller and other accessories.
Bought in June 2023 and only ridden 3 times for a total of 70 miles (we have quite a few bikes here to ride).
We never had the intention of keeping this, as we already have so many bikes. But honestly it’s a hard one to let go, as our CEO just loves it. This is a real bike: real suspension, real brakes. Not a toy like the light Bee (we love ours, but cost so much money to get right), and doesn’t need everything changed just to make it work.
The brakes are brilliant with loads of pad thickness and decent discs. The suspension handles the rough stuff well. Absolutely no need to change anything, except the power and range – so we did!
Our CEO very recently went for a long ride with his friend on a standard bike. Our CEO is a very heavy 21stone rider. The OEM bike went into limp mode after 40 miles, yet our bike was only just below halfway on the voltmeter, after 40 miles!!!
The MUCH bigger battery and X9000 V1 controller, really make the bike come alive. So much power and refinement. EBMX X9000 v1 gives 6 power modes (and reverse) and total free choice of how to set the bike up (power wise) to the way you like.
We didn’t think it worth the extra cost of a new motor, as the OEM can handle 17 Kw all day long and bursts of much higher, The controller through heat sensor in the motor, detects when things are getting warm and will turn things down a bit and save any nastiness. In all honesty our CEO reports that he just left the bike in “Street 3” set at 12Kw as it was more than enough to scare him through our North Devon Muddy lanes.
The bike has been furnished with DOT Michelin Trackers for much better grip (OEM were taken off straight away from new). A larger 21” front when for better offroad roll over.
We modified the front plastic bash plate to increase air flow over the motor so it can run hard and longer (didn’t really need to as we’ve never pushed the bike too hard). A bigger 52T aftermarket rear sprocket to give even more bottom end grunt (went on before the controller upgrade as a test).
The battery compartment lid has been swapped out for the aftermarket plastic moulded carbon effect lid, to accommodate the bigger battery.
All in all, this is an incredible bike being sold almost new with a saving of £3000, over new and professionally installed .

Warranty Terms: Main components:
6 months excluding service items. Subject to service schedule. Competition use 30 days only. Controller and battery are 12 months warranty but not due to water ingress. All warranty issues, the customer must return the item back to us at their own cost. Drive train (sprockets, gear box and OEM motor) is not warrantied,
Warranties are not transferable.
