We listened to our customers and improved and change things as this product evolved. We originally started this project in June 2020. That’s months of learning and evolving, just on this one device. We truly believe this is the very best Sur Ron battery and controller upgrade on the market. we KNOW that other sellers have copied our program (they say to be copied is the greatest compliment), but now that we have pushed the boat even further. Our latest program has now been revised to include MORE power! Improved thermal roll back for motor protection, no problems with uphill starts or roll backwards stalls, no cutting out, extra water proofing, higher grade materials used.

The acceleration, top speed and range is massively improved over standard! The kit gives real world massive, long range and usability way beyond that of the standard bike. We absolutely as riders love this kit. On our dedicate road bike, we could cruise in excess of 50 MPH without any worries of running out battery. The bike just rolls on and on. On our off-road bike, the w power fires us though miles of Devon wet green lane, through mud, sand, over tree stumps and through slippery rock gardens. Unlike it crazy big brother 72v kit, the power is really usable. Often when we ride our 72v kit, we turn the power down to around 8000w as the wheel just spins up – too mental. So, this kit at 10,000 is more than enough. If you’re a real green lane rider and not just a MX superstar wannabe, or someone who uses their bike daily and wants to ride for ages, then this kit is an absolute must. At work, we have all the choices of set you could possibly want. But it’s the 72v ASI BAC8000 72v42Ah for crazy rides and THIS ASI BAC4000 60v 63Ah that we keep. More and more we take this BAC4000 60v 63Ah; as its more than enough to put a smile on our face, yet it just goes on forever and we truly love it!

This controller is now tuned and dedicated for our aftermarket  battery  @ 60v. This is  a 60v Kit  It carries around two and half times the amount of avaialabe energy of a standard battery, so crazy amounts more range!! (speed and acceration kills range, so when comparing to a std bike, you need to ride like for like).

You can still swap imn upir original battery but dont use the last two power levels (if you do the bms will just shut your battery down)

The controller now features  a full working display showing: speed, power, battery charge, date and trip. Set with 5 power levels as default that can be flicked at the touch of a button on the fly  (just your thumb, no gloves off or stopping), Can be used like a gearbox to slip up and down the power levels (5 levels set as our default) to suite your terrain and riding style.

The controller comes fully potted and with all leads and looms fitted and waterproofed. The mounts are in place, Made of plastic to include our protective “wings”.

Unleash more performance and range with correct gearing.  Higher gears (Smaller rear sprocket) does not mean higher top speed. Over labouring the motor with the wrong gearing costs top speed, acceleration and range.

A fast efficient spinning electric motor goes better – simple!.

  • Both the ASI BAC4000 and ASI BAC8000 use almost the same programming. The ASI  BAC4000 under exceptional hot day and extreme hard use may throttle back and restricted to 430 Phase Amps. the ASI BAC8000 is capable of 850Abut restircted by us to 470A. The ASI BAC8000 designed for much bigger motors, will not throttle back and will never be stressed (athough it wil thermal roll back if it senses the motor getting too hot).

Displays

Others copy, se we improve and change. The old APT display (as used by everyone else) had a tendancy to steam up on a hot day if  the  bike had been washed with a hose or exposed very heavy rain, So guess what? we went to another display manufacturer and had another display devolped just for us. We are the only Sur Ron kit that now uses our dedicacted display. Its got our programing and logo on it, so lets see how long before we are copied again (PS, its really good to use)!

Our kit is not compatable with the Egrrider. We dumped that display over a year ago due to too many reliabilty issues (constant updated needed)

Designed to run on the standard Sur Ron bike as a direct swap in battery, increasing the range over 200%

Use your standard controller (no reall power increase – just range) or swap out your controller  and set it to 9000W continuous and phase at 350A. Use with the: ASI BAC2000, ASI BAC4000 or ASI BAC8000 and Nuclear controllers (any 60v capable controller); have a safe and genuine fast bike that will give heaps of range and fun. The battery is very similar design as its fast brother, but using a different cell and configuration to give maximum range without being crazy tall. We have given this battery a huge range. Perfect for trail riding or long distance commuting.

These are designed to go straight into a standard bike with X controller or for bikes that are set at 90000W 350A phase.

If this battery is to be used by a third party controller, the controller can not be set above 9000 watts continuous.

This will work perfectly with the original X Controller but still only taking 4-5000 watts (you need a bigger controller for more power).

High Power Sur Ron Battery 16S13P 60v  3780Wh 63Ah Panasonic  21700 cell (4800 mAh  per cell),  with ANT bluetooth BMS (works on IOS and Android) designed to fit inside the Sur Ron battery compartment utilizing the existing battery tray. The Cells are genuine branded cells specifically designed for large capacity storage and reliability. Other inferior cells used in cheaper packs simply can’t deliver like these. If you think the cost is high, these batteries have 208 cells that retail in the UK for around £5 each! not including: BMS, fabrication and shipping taxes.

The whole battery is fitted in  hand made stainless steel case designed to handle those inevitable and hopefully not painful “Offs” with hard off road rides and giving masses more protection. The casing is powder coated inside and out.

The main battery to controller connectors we use are the same type as used by Sur Ron to keep everything compatible. This allows you to swap your standard battery back should you wish.
Battery is in a super tough hand built stainless steel case designed to keep your battery safe in an accident and waterproof  except immersion or direct jet washing at the cable exits. although live terminals will short). Designed to fit straight into the bike and maximize the whole battery compartment (the hatch bolts need swapping  out with longer bolts that we supply – 2 minutes and simple). No movement- no rattles!
No new charger required, just use your Sur Ron charger!!!!!
From our tests, not all Sur Ron frames are exactly the same. Sur Ron recently seem to have let their quality control down a bit. On our mark two prototype (pre releases) we suddenly found that our case did not fit in the 4th bike we tested it in, Sur Ron hand not cleaned the battery compartment frame welds. We then went back to the drawing board and re-designed the case.
The new and for sale case has flitted all 4 test bikes. Its a snug and tight fit to maximize the cell capacity and keep the battery as low as possible. It is very slightly possible that there is anther bike out there with poor welds. In this case there is a very  small possibility that your bike welds will need cleaning up with a dremmel/grinder, although with this latest design we have not found this in over 50 installs. This is a simple job and causes no damage to the bike. I would like to make the point clear that we do not expect this to be needed  by 99.9% of our customers the battery should slot straight in.

Please ALSO note, these are genuine new cells and made up into complete battery specially designed by us, built at our oversees  factory or here in the UK by our dedicated battery builders. We simply can’t buy a single battery, Thanks to Paypal fees, shipping and taxes the markup is minimal!

When connecting the battery to the bike and to avoid a spark. Turn the red trip switch on the bike to off.

Charging: First time charging is VERY important. Always connect the charger to the battery with the charger powered up from the mains. This will stop a “Connection Spark”. The battery needs a “Balance Charge” on first charge. Please charge for 12 hours first time.

* 6 Month Warranty is for manufacturing defaults and does not cover miss use or accidental damage. These units are extremely strong and robust and will not let you down unless abused. We undertake warranties here in the UK. We take the pain!

Please note, Lithium batteries are considered hazardous and due care and attention should be taken. Although these cells are in wide use, and professionally manufactured in a purpose built factory; because of the power of the battery, we strongly recommend that precautions are taken. We do not recommend charging inside the family home and charging should be supervised. We take no responsibility for misuse. These batteries are thoroughly tested (full discharge and charge cycles at the manufacturing stage and also pre-delivery). These are not DIY or amateur built devices.

Fitting Services (highly recommended)

We now offer a fitting service in different location around the county.

Each location has different working patterns.

Generally the bike will need to be dropped of at prior arrangement and collect one working week later. but must include a full weekend in between.

Price £229 through the website of £200 direct to fitter and not included with the original controller purchase.

Self Fitting:

We will include a 13 page illustrated set of instructions. However we do strongly advise for one of our fitters to install. We do make the assumption that if your fitting this kit yourself, you know what you are doing. All kit leaves here tested and working. Think of it like this. You buy a motor from Honda, Suzuki etc and fit yourself. You would not expect Honda to talk you through the fitting. We will not give support outside of Monday – Friday normal business hours.

This is a plug and play system, but we now believe there are at least three slightly different version of the Sur Ron Lightbee motor. This can cause some minor issues. Because of this we now include 1 hour free remote support during our working hours (9 – 5.30 Mon-Friday). We strongly advise that you factor in our working hours when fitting. We will not give support outside these hours. To give remote support you will need either an media phone/note pad and good internet connection.

We do not warranty damage caused from your fitting. Every kit is bench tested before leaving our premises.

* UK Warranty 

Our warranty is limited to 6 months from time of purchase. Due to the use and the nature of this device (Off-Road) and the potential excess  exposure to: water, rain, mud and the possibility to sustained high powered use/abuse, we do not warranty controllers that show signs of damage, excess heat or water penetration. The controllers are fully bench tested working with a full working motor before leaving our premises. Any damage caused by your installation is not covered by our warranty. We highly recommend the use of one of recognized fitters where installation is fully covered.

Warranties are not transferable.

We reserve the right to slightly modify or change this product without notice.
