Futur proof your purchase by buying one of the most powerful down tube batteries in the world. These are specially designed to handle high power demands like the: BAC 800, CYC X1 Pro or other 50A controllers. 50 A output, 15.5Ah range and 780 watts or power.
Your bike on the flat will attain 30 mph, but in low PAS will go much further – ideal for touring
Now with Colour 850c Display and Gear Sensor and Brake sensor all included!!
Reprogrammed by us to 1500 Watts Max and superior PAS (Pedal Assist) settings for slightly longer range and durability.
BBSHD Mid Drive kit is light but strong and unprecedented levels of engineering (Rated 1000W – 1700W dependent on setting) and has proven to work reliably at 2500Watts) and Max Torque 160 NM) More efficient than HUB motors giving greater distance and response. This mid drive provides powerful ebike performance meanwhile keeps the original pedaling in comfort. With an integrated speed sensor, this mid-drive motor is compatible with standard bikes. Throttle only use in PAS mode “0” is available allowing to rest without pedaling and a further 9 levels available with “on the fly” switching.
These motors are regarded as the very best in the EBike conversion world. Extremely quiet and robust. Fully waterproof and internally lubricated within sealed casings. There have been recorded distances of 25000 miles and still going!
This motor is designed to fit bikes with a Bottom Bracket between 68 mm to 73 mm
The motor is designed to work with batteries rated at 48 – 52 volts (can handle up to 59V) and highly recommended to be used with 52v batteries (stays in the peak zone longer).
Motor weight: 5.8kg.

52v 15Ah 50A Super High Power Downtube Battery
Specially designed for our ASI BAC 800 and CYC X1 Pro and any other 50A motors
This has been specially designed to get the best balance of performance and range in a down tube battery yet monstrous 50A continuous discharge.
This 52v 15Ah (fully charged 58v) has significantly more power than any other battery 52V battery and with 50A on tap, massively increase acceleration. With 780 Wh riding in the lower PAS range will still give massive range.
We wanted to provide a battery that allows balance for a bike and give as many amps possible for our incredible ASI BAC 800 controller and the soon to market CYC X1 Pro motor. Yet with a maximum cell amount of 70 in a case, we opted for 14S 5P (70 cells) and the very expensive and hugely reliable Sony VTC6 to deliver (even the Samsung 30Q could not deliver this amount of performance). There is no other cell on the market that can safely deliver these figures.
Very High Power Sony VTC6 Battery & 3A Charger. UK Stock This is the very best of battery technology with 3Ah UK charger. 50 Amp Nominal BMS and triple welded pure nickle contacts). This is the highest UK output available down tube type battery on the market, designed to fit on down tube utilizing water bottle bolts. These are specifically designed for high output discharge and sustained high drain. Other inferior cells used in cheaper packs simply can’t deliver like these. If you think the cost is high, these batteries have 70 cells that retail in the UK for around £8 each! not including: BMS, casing , charger, shipping taxes AND FABRICATION.
Because this is such a powerful battery and way beyond the realms of normal, we have had to make some modification. The LED light indicator on the side of the battery will not work, but most of all the power cables exit through the rear of the battery and not through the cradle. No cradle in the world can handle this amount of power. The cradle is still used to mount the battery and locks as normal.
The batteries still mount as usual on the at the water bottle bolts and can be easily detached. However, because of the massive discharge amps, the battery cables exit direct out of the battery case (at rear) and not through the cradle. This means that it will be necessary to unplug the XT90 plug when detaching battery. When mounting the battery we recommend using double sided number plate stickers (from Halfords). This helps to seat the battery a little better and creates friction between the cradle and your bike frame (protects the frame form scratches too)
We do not recommend these batteries for power output above 50A, these will handle all 50A or lower where a controller has a 48-90V applications but have been specifically built for the Bafang BBSHD ASI BAC uparade and CYC X1Pro. They have XT90 connectors and are “plug and Play”
Like any device, running it constantly at maximum could lead to failure. Dont ride open throttle non stop!!
Please ALSO note, these are genuine new cells and made up into complete battery specially to order for me at the factory. I simply can’t buy a single battery, I have to agree to a production run of at least 30 batteries. Thanks to Ebay + Paypal fees, the markup is minimal! Not all down tubes are the same and some slight modification maybe necessary to the mounting plate of the battery. You tube has an abundance of “How To” videos.

Tips on riding:
The motor is not human and makes your bike a hybrid.
Motors like to spin fast, use less power and not over heat and most of all use less electricity!
A 9 speed bike for example.
The whole range of gears can be used with your legs only – no surprise.
If you want maximum range use very low PAS 1-3 and any gear you want to let your legs assist.
Do not use high PAS in small rear cogs, you will kill your range! (your legs are not assisting).
Generally speaking, your cadence is much lower than the BBSHD’s possible 160 rpm. If you ghost pedaling at 30 mph in the 11T rear cog you are doing nothing to help the motor, BUT the motor actually wants to go to about 50 mph when it cant, because of resistance (tyres, road surface , Air etc) – you can use a cadence calculator online to check the speed with your gearing. When the motor can not achieve its ideal speed in a high PAS setting, it dumps loads of “Phase Amps” amps that are wasted producing heat as they cant be turned into motion and make the motor turn faster, they have saturated the motor.
As test, ride you bike flat out without the motor and see what your top speed is . This is he maximum speed will be the speed that you no longer assist the motor.
This is a general ism, as some very fit riders can achieve higher speeds in higher pas without over heating as they have a much higher spin rate, are lighter and powerful enough to push big gears ( do these people really need a an ebike?)
Now using throttle only, find your top speed using the gears. You will notice the smallest or highest gear does not give the top speed, but it will use the most amount of electricity. Go down a couple of gears (bigger rear cog) and the speed will not significantly drop, but your power consumption will – gives you more range!
So for range use the small PAS and any gear you like as your legs are helping and the motor is not trying to achieve to unobtainable top speed.
For top speed use the throttle only and use the best gear, not necessarily the smallest rear cogs.
I use a 42T front. I PAS only in level 2, but throttle for top speed with a 16 or 15 rear maybe ( i check my speed against power consumption).
If im really lazy, I leave it in 16 rear (its flat where I live), use PAS 2 to get to 10 mph (helps the motor ) then use throttle only to 30+mph. This saves the motor, saves the drive train and im lazy. If I want to go miles, I use all my gears and PAS 2 only and the throttle up a hill in a big rear gear with it spinning freely.
At 30 mph throttle only I get 15 miles (I weigh 20 stone).
In PAS 2 I got fed up testing at 40 miles.
